Superior forage quality

Bellon conditioning systems

Our conditioning system is engineered to accelerate forage drying, reducing internal moisture to shorten harvest windows by up to 24 hours. The mechanism works by cracking the stems or fracturing the plant’s waxy cuticle: this precise mechanical treatment allows internal cell water to escape rapidly, triggering the natural drying process immediately after cutting. Designed to optimize uniform wilting across the entire swath, this technology significantly reduces field exposure, minimizing weather-related risks. This gentle yet effective process preserves leaf integrity and vital nutrients, guaranteeing high-protein forage with superior feed value.

The Bellon conditioner is available in two specialized configurations:

  • Rubber rollers (GM series): designed for delicate conditioning of alfalfa and clover crops
  • Flails (FL series): engineered for intensive conditioning of dense grasses.
Chevron rubber roller conditioner
Designed specifically for delicate forage such as alfalfa and clover, this conditioner features Chevron rubber rollers operating with an interlocking profile. This technology compresses the stems evenly and gently, promoting rapid moisture loss while ensuring maximum leaf preservation, where the essential protein content is concentrated. The result is fluffy, well-structured swaths: the forage layout promotes constant air circulation that accelerates natural drying and safeguards the nutritional value of the crop.
Flail conditioner
The flail conditioner is the ideal solution for harvesting dense grasses and heavy forage crops. The high-speed flails efficiently scarify the plant's waxy layer, breaking down the natural surface barrier of the stem to accelerate internal moisture evaporation. Engineered to ensure high crop throughput, the flail system forms a lofty, well-aerated swath. By keeping the forage perfectly ventilated and uncompressed, this technology significantly reduces drying times and promotes rapid, uniform wilting.

Nitrogen accumulator

The nitrogen accumulator drives the hydropneumatic evolution of our suspension systems, replacing conventional mechanical springs with a constant-pressure circuit. This advanced technology delivers real-time, responsive flotation, maintaining a uniform cutterbar pressure on the ground even at high working speeds and across uneven terrains.

From a technical standpoint, the accumulator acts as an active shock absorber that reduces mechanical stress on the tractor’s frame and hitches, decreasing ground friction and allowing for higher working speeds with optimized fuel consumption.
